Reset passenger window subaru outback.
We have a Subaru Forester 2017. The battery died and had to be replaced. There was no need to reset the radio station settings. I figured out the reset of date and time pretty quickly (like immediately). Two days later, I learned about the window problem. Found the fix pretty quickly in the window section, not the battery section of the manual.
The issue was the driver side window switch for the front passenger window wasn't working. It worked fine on the passenger side. The fix was holding down the front passenger window switch until it was all the way down and then holding for 10 seconds. Ok try a capacitive discharge, make sure the key is off and disconnect both battery cables, then touch both cables together for about 10 seconds. This completely drains all the capacitors in the car and it's just a more effective way disconnecting the battery. Really makes sure everything is reset. CherikeeRed • 2 yr. ago.

There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash. Both covers have legends on them describing the fuses.brucep said: Do not forget that there are SEVERAL switches involved for the passenger windows (passenger door, driver door and the 'inhibit' switch which is also on the driver door.) If ANY of these switches malfunction, there may be issues. The driver side will allow the raise and lower all 3 of the other windows.
The instructions for resetting the power windows are on page 2-37 of the manual. But the instructions do not work in this case. The passenger side window and now the driver side window are being difficult on the 2015 3.6r. When I press the auto-up button they go up and then about 1 cm from the top they both come back to about half open. The auto-up button is pretty much worthless on the passenger side.
