Reddit favorite books.

My all-time favourite is Pandora in the Congo by Albert Sánchez Piñol, it's the one that has had the greatest impact on me. When I was a kid it was Ways to Live Forever . Nowadays I do yearly lists of my favourite books. For example: 2020: The Blue Fox by Sjón; Perfume by Patrick Süskind.My personal favorite (well, a tie-in with Ravenloft), is the most well-known one and The Library is the best resource on the books or if you want a timeline of major (and lesser) events. Another site would be Candlekeep : I haven't really browsed it in 4-5 years, but it doesn't seem to have changed much.The Farseer books by Robin Hobb are some of my favorites because they combine those themes really well. The Book of Ivy duology by Amy Engel. Technically not 1 favorite book but, they're so short compared to most books of their genre that they basically ARE one book. I have an endless list of favorites but in the end, I just went with the books I could read a thousand times over and I'd still love it as much as I did the first time I read it.Troubled Blood (Great book for S&R personal tribulations and «triumphs». Berserk is one of the best works of fantasy ever. It's a combination of gratuitous violence, extraordinarily detailed art, competent character writing, a strong commitment to themes, and a postmodern dialogue of fantasy and manga tropes that even Erikson can't match. If you've ever enjoyed a comic, you'll enjoy Berserk.

Enders Game is absolutely a must read. His character development and the meta story about human greed for power is truly gripping. If you liked Ender's Game, you might like The Circle by Dave Eggers. East of Eden is such an amazing novel. If you enjoyed it, you should check out 100 Years of Solitude. It's similar in that it follows a family through their history. It's a great book -- not in my top 10, but definitely in my top 50 of all-time.

The Dead Will Tell by Linda Castillo was brutal. It's about fifth in a series and dips a little into unrelated side plots that may not interest readers who aren't following along with all the books, but the core plot made a surprisingly huge impact about lasting damage that can result from an act of cruelty.

Witch Twins by Adele Griffin. The Boxcar Children series. Most of Enid Blyton's books, such as the Malory Towers series and Far-Away Tree series. The books that affected me the absolute most emotionally were definitely Chasing Redbird, Esperanza Rising, and Pictures of Hollis Woods.
