Mar 20, 2024 · Gas stations have a specific initial (very large) supply of fuel, and do not respawn. Once the gas runs out, you're expected to survive without electricity. This is, however, practically impossible, because even exhausting a single gas station will take in-game years, not even counting all the Gas Stations spread across the map. Technically yes they can run out - practically no. Depends on some settings aswell but there is a big amount of fuel in a gas station so no need to worry - if you're really concerned just make sure to have another generator filled and set up at another gas station.
