Every citizen gives you 1 unhappiness. The more populous you become, and the more wide your empire is, the more unhappy your citizens become.

In Civ 7 I would like to see Building on the Moon/Mars. It would be amazing to develop a colony on the moon in the form of regular Civ gameplay.
