A little late but per the email from MyPers I got, all shreds in the 1D7 AFSC require the same ASVAB/EDPT scores, which says "General: 64 & EDPT: 57, OR Electrical: 60 & EDPT: 57." Most officers who are 17S's manage some type of USAF weapon system among other things. The Air Force calls a 17D a Network Operations Officer while a 17S is Cyber Warfare Officer so you are correct.
