At -40 °C (-40 °F), the sensor resistance is 336 kilo ohms . At 55 °C (140 °F), the sensor resistance is 2.488 kilo ohms . The sensor resistance should read between these two values.

To my understanding the BCM stores miles as well as the gauge cluster and the cluster will always display the higher of the two. So in my case the new BCM had zero miles but the cluster has 122K. The signal for the fuel gauge goes from the PCM, to the BCM, and to the IPC, using the Serial Data Bus. If there was a problem with that, it would most likely affect other gauges/indicators in the IPC. Maybe a bad sending unit.
