It results in a clean gun every time! And, save your money - you do not need to buy patches. Old tee shirts cut to size work great and are free. Step one, clean everything with dry patches (I use old t shirts to make my own free patches!). Step two, clean the inside of the bore with bronze brush and bore cleaner.
It’s pretty obvious why the feed ramp needs to be a smooth, polished surface. The nose of the bullet must slide over and through this concave surface to enter the chamber. If the surface is too rough or is nicked or burred, the bullet can get stuck. However, it’s less apparent why the bolt face needs to be smooth.The firing pin doesn't move up and down, but rather forward and rear in the firing pin channel. The slide can get stuck, the fired shell may not eject, and so on. Possible Solutions. In a Ruger Security 9 jamming problem, you have to carefully detect the symptoms the gun is showing.

After removing the firing pin and cleaning the channel. simply wipe the firing lightly with a cloth with a drop or two of oil on it. Just purchased an LCP a few weeks ago and i've noticed when i pull the slide back with a full clip it has a tendency to stick in the rear-ward position. If i tap the side of the gun or pull the slide back it will go forward though.
