The VTM-4 light only means there is something wrong with your drivetrain, which includes the engine. Once you fixed the cause for the CEL, the VTM-4 light will go off by itself. 2001 MDX.
Got both upper and post cat exhaust issues fixed and immediately, got cel and vtm-4 lights on every start. cel is immediate, vtm 4 is 3-6 seconds after startup depending on if the car is a cold or warm start. comes on faster on warm start.
