So here is a video about how to use cuticle remover to it's full potential. Like MelbyToast, I probably do this about once a month or so. It will remove the excess cuticle from the nail plate (which can stop nail polish from adhering properly), and also clean up the edges of cuticle around your eponychium.

I soak my hands in warm water with a little bit of a moisturizing hand soap (just a few drops, it seems to help soften up the skin) then use the Sally Hansen cuticle remover. I leave it on for about 30-45 seconds even though the bottle says 15 seconds, then push the articles back and wash hands. I do this once a week.
