My data hoarding is based mostly on my private use but also on several things I've in mind. All is done basically to keep a memory of the things I consider … I think the majority of people on this sub aren't much "data hoarders", but rather "data archivists/organizers". Meaning, we don't just download everything, we just like to keep our original data forever (family photos/videos, documents) and download stuff we like and keep it for later rewatch/replay (movies/shows/games). My long term goals are to keep preserving and serving family photographs/videos and safely backup personal data, that's my number one priority. The way for iDrive to provide so much storage for cheap is just to throttle data upload, so that people are limited. I am done with custom backup application that locks me in with a specific provider.
