The thing pulled a 14' fiberglass skiff with two onboard at a good clip, (I'd guess about 18 mph or so with two big guys onboard). I still have a Gamefisher/Tanaka 3HP and it's a good little motor. I'm guessing that Tanaka made the entire line for Gamefisher, but my 3HP is for sure a Tanaka.I have a 89 GAMEFISHER 15 hp I bought from a neighbor that is giving me problems. It needs to be installed with the narrow slot at 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock.

The impeller fins are straight when new, but they take a "set" from being bent over in the waterpump housing over time, normal, but not good.
