Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Richmond, VA - April 3, 2024. Western Express is a horrible company. I got my 6 months of experience and immediately left. Dispatchers do not care about their drivers. If you are a new hire do not expect to exceed over 2-3 loads per week which will roughly average to $500-700 per check.

We got tired of dead heading minimum of 150 miles, usually 200 - 300 miles for a load. Everything before they were brought out by Knight/Swift was pretty decent…$1500 checks, 2500 weekly miles, always home on time, never any problems with my truck, no dispatchers micromanaging me. But now it's honestly a disaster.Which is a shame, as they had the potential to being a decent place to work.
