Just to give an anecdote about something not kpop-related but relevant to this rant, a fandom I used to engage with had Japanese fanartists on Twitter who had abandoned their entire accounts with like some of them garnering up to 10k+ followers because they didn’t understand the “compliments” or “jokes” made by their english-speaking followers.
