Not worth it in my opinion anymore, the staccato really needs a grip revamp imo to get close to its value, you get grip work done on an optic ready model and it brings the total to 2600-2700 dollars. It's absolute ass of a grip in 2023, when a $500 gun like Walther is doing a better job, you really have no excuse calling yourself a premium product.

Staccato's are nice and their fans are very loyal, but I don't think the XL & XC are worth the money. I do strongly recommend the DLC finish on the barrel and optics cut. The new Tac grip texture is nice but I haven't had any grip issues with the standard texture, so I wouldn't bother unless you just prefer the looks.You'll be happy. Clean and lube it prior to shooting, Give it 250 rds of break in, clean and lube again, and you'll be good to go! I did the same regimen with my Staccatos that I do with all my pistols. The drums alone are $2500 tops, at least in the real world of musical instruments. It's certainly possible an art collector or prop-house would cheerfully cough up a bunch of money, but in terms of someone wanting to buy an interesting, good-sounding, usable kit, they're not going to get it all with the Staccatos.
