Pretty easy to figure out if stator is bad or not. 1) Check voltage of battery prior to startup (should be 12v). 2) Start bike. 3) Check voltage while bike is running, should at least reach above 13v, and increase with rev's increase.Set your multimeter to AC Volts and start your car. Test between each lead of the connector (e.g. 1-2, 2-3, 3-1) and take notes on the readings. They should all be equal (For example, the results should be 20v/20v/20v).
