I'm assuming that your side rollers are in good shape. IF that is the case, open the door manually, and detach the cables from the rollers.There are lots of write-ups and youtube videos on how to do it. I've been able to do it without pulling the interior panels off. Just remove the tail light to gain access to the rear bolt on the rail cover, then remove the screw at the front of the rail cover, inside the door jam, and carefully remove the rail cover by sliding it forward about an inch.
