Yes, the recoil of X-Macro is noticeably less, the hype is true. That said, the X-Macro is also noticeably larger than the the P365XL and a lot larger than the P365X. The question you need to ask yourself is if you are going to use it primarily for range or self defense. If it's range, go with the X-Macro. For self defense, go with the P365XL.If you are going with the X-Macro TacOps or a365XL those are great choices. As you begin your journey as a new shooter consider a .22 caliber pistol as your second gun. The SIG p322 is a similar size and shape. The more you are able to shoot the more your skill and confidence levels will improve.

They make 3 different X Macro versions now. Comp (365XCA-9-COMP), TacOps (365XCA-9-TACOPS) and the version (365XCA-9-BXR3) which uses the xl slide and 3.7” barrel. Sig has a conversation kit available but for the price you are better off just buying another gun.
