Jan 26, 2010 · This is sad but true.....and it's an enforcement problem, the main issues being politics, jurisdiction and mission between agencies. The VA Marine Police don't have jurisdiction outside of the 3 mile limit, and it's not in their best interest politically or economically to clamp down too hard on winter striper fishery because that's the region's bread and butter at this time of year.

Yes they are oily so you should fillet them (you can leave the skin on) a little salt and pepper and roll them in yellow corn meal, fry in Crisco to golden brown and drain on a paper towel. It is my moms favorite fish to eat. Their price was $4000 with no sales tax. Other dealers wanted up to $6800 for the same thing. I had the motor shippped to my mechanic for $175. You can control speed and drop it into neutral, then lean out and pull your float with one hand. Have crabbed with a 17 aluminum tracker like this.
