You've already familiar with the mechanics, if you summon a Legendary Champion from a Sacred Shard during this event, you'll get a different, extra one from that same Shard. It works only once per user per event.
To get more accurate results, I simulated 10000 times the normal amount needed for the event. So for example, one need to pull 150 ancient shards for a guaranteed lego, then in my simulation I would pull 1500000 (actually 1490000 since I assume the 150th one is the guaranteed lego).
