I believe even bio produces PM, which is the main reason for the DPF. Results are well worth the time and effort. Granted ours is a MY 2012, you’ll see significant increases in HP and Torque with newer engine design.The improvement from Stage 2 tunes comes from the exhaust change. Stage 2 (IIRC) disables the regen process if you get the emissions delete. No regens mean less fuel wasted, and there are a lot less restrictions so the setup breaths better as well. And re: the old Jetta's getting better MPG, those were running 90~100 HP and 149~155 TQ.
