Ffxiv audio cuts out.

Hi lately I've noticed rarely some sound effects being cutout our missing parts. Such as the limit break SFX stopping immediately after the boom sound or the fate complete/level up sound playing for 1.5 seconds and stopping. It's rare but I was just curious if it was game, or system related if anyone knew. just odd now that I've noticed.Check your audio settings. If you have surround sound enabled but don't actually have a surround speaker set up, the game tries to put the voice acting channel to a speaker that doesn't exist. Unfortunately no, if FFXIV's audio starts acting up the only way to fix it is to restart the client entirely. I'm not exactly sure why but the audio in 14 is a lot more finicky than in other programs. According to their website the Spacial Audio plugin needs a restart to actually work in the game.

When there's an obstruction of any kind between audio source and listening position, be it through an object, a wall, an asset or even certain boss's particle effects - you get audio stuttering/clipping/popping.
