Nowhere in my 2005 Chevrolet 3500 owners manual does it give me (that I could find) the capacity for the Alison transmission coupled with the 6.6 turbo diesel. So I called the local Chevy dealer who said 7.4 qts.Front differential: Oil was kinda milky, obviously some water had gotten in some time. Refilled with Mobil 1 75W-90. Rear differential: Oil was brown-grayish. Replaced that bolt in there (old one wasn't too bad) and refilled with Mobil 1 75W-90. Transmission: Oil looked fine, but probably old. Replaced filter and refilled with synthetic Dexron III.

For example, the transfer case needs ATF. And the ATF should be Dexron VI. And the case needs 1.9 ltrs (2 US its).
