Destiny volatile rounds.
With volatile rounds proc’d, the SMG unforgiven from the dungeon makes me immortal on all three classes. Devour + Overshield every kill OR Volatile explosion healing + overshield on EVERY kill. I can see how it’d be a problem on something like a scout rifle, but on the SMG it proc’s volatile fast enough that it’s never an issue.
As we all know, subclass verbs got buffed to stun certain champions (shatter damage stuns unstoppable, volatile is SUPPOSED to stun barrier champs, etc.) I’ve tried running volatile rounds on multiple weapons (Heartshadow, Unforgiven, Under Your Skin, Gridskipper) and none of them have had an effect on the barriers of barrier champions. Yes. Volatile rounds are a separate effect and are not technically a damage buff even if they increase the total damage you do. Font of might will also stack with any typical damage buff like High energy fire or bubble/well. Font of might stacks with everything. Yes.This is part of my double special loadout for Gambit rounds this season. Reaping well maker. An alh pardon with blinding to stun a group of ads. Pick up the well, font of might and volatile rounds, commit add genocide. And a clown cartridge Royal Entry for invaders / invading / boss DPS. Rarely run out of ammo for Wavesplitter. Usually Destablizing with Repulsor Brace is the play, but if you want to cause a group of enemies to go volitile and explode in one Precision shot instead of one at a time. This plays alot better into the gun as an add clear monster. It goes: 1) headshot kill, 2) other nearby enemies become volitile, then 3) delay on Dragonfly explosion causes ... Fragments: the one that grants volatile on grenade kills, the one that makes targets explode, the third is preference. This builds a good starting place. It should give you nearly 100% uptime on volatile rounds. Theres some more niche changes you can make to the build if you want. I personally run the devour fragment although its slightly less ...
