My truck had been running a Regen about every 25 miles. As soon as one would end another would start. Exhaust sensors 13 and 14 will show around 1100 degrees during a regen. Otherwise they go no higher than about 800 degrees, even while towing up hills.Couple of things. Make sure your engine is programmed to allow a regen during while in PTO mode, or when increasing the idle speed while sitting. If you are running your engine while stopped, increase the rpm and it will allow a regen to happen while parked automatically if needed.The regen increases the RPM, but they don't inject "extra" fuel to make more heat. Unburnt diesel, even gasoline creates a ton of soot. That would be quite stupid during a regen cycle.
