Mar 9, 2017 · 2011 SRX4 shifting problem. My SRX 4 has a high rpm sound coming from the left front of the engine when driving. I thought at first it was not shifting gears properly, however it does shift and the tach does drop down but the sound does not change. It sounds a if it needs to change into a higher gear.

I believe there was a recall to flash an updated ignition timing and/or fuel map to the ECM, after some turbo owners ran 87 octane and caused engine damage. Then GM stopped putting the turbo in the SRX in 2011 so the one you're looking at must be a late 2010 build.

Stopping required stepping hard on the pedal, which went all the way down the the floor. It felt very much like old, manual brakes on older cars. It was like there was no power brakes at all.

When I start out I have it at 72, after 50 miles I have it down to 68 to keep cold air coming out. The air is also not as cold as when I first start out.
