I purchased mine and was lucky to pick up the S&W M&P 45, M2.0 ported, core and 5.6 barrel. Had for 3 weeks but haven't been to range yet. Like.

As a new Victory owner with around 500 rounds through it, I have a couple of questions: I have had a FTF about every 75 rounds with no primer marks. Also the slide only locks back on the last round about 1 in 4 or 5 magazines but locks back every time if you put a empty magazine in and rack the slide. Including: IPSC, IDPA, Silhouette, Bullseye. He said the only ammo it liked was a lower grain wadcutter, shooting typical ball it was terrible. Having seen him shoot consistant 2.5 inch groups at 50 yards, it had me wondering. From what I have been reading on these and other forums, the 25-2 was a great gun and very accurate too, but I haven't seen much mentioned about the ammo used.
The smooth back strap is definitely a Model 58 feature. A real tell on this gun is the juncture between the barrel and frame. The Model 58 frame isn't grooved for a barrel rib and is also lower than the barrel rib on a target sighted barrel. I have a Model 58 that was machined for an adjustable rear sight and a Model 57 barrel installed.

I was able to pick up a new S&W FPC 9mm and took it to the range yesterday and it has become my favorite carbine. My favorite was a Berretta Storm 9mm carbine, but I guess it has to take a back seat now to this new FPC. The pic below was the first out of the box shots, unsupported, stand up, two ... I really like the extra capacity and today I finally pulled the trigger. It's dimensionally almost identical to my Shield, but the short mag holds 10 rounds instead of 7, and the longer mag holds 13 instead of 8.
