QC45's sound quality is very crisp, clean, pure and highly resolved. It also does a much better job at separating different musical instruments and the singer's voice. However I agree that the Bose QC45 is far less bassy than xm4. In 3 words to describe the Bose sound quality, they are "Bright", "lively" and "exciting".

The bose TV has 2 larger elliptical full range speakers vs the 2 small circle ones on the Bose solo 5, so It should be able to move a lot more air. They are literally the same headphone, except the SE comes with a soft case vs hard case. Nope, the SE is a 'lite' edition, with slightly smaller battery than the QC45 and a soft case. Other than that yes they're the same headphone.
