IMO sticky is the only real way to build support LBG because sticky is technically a status ammo type (which is the entire reason to choose LBG over SnS for support) and because it doesn't really require much to get it going meaning you lose less damage overall compared to other ammo types. Its interesting for lbg rapid pierce, comparing the Malzeno to cgore. Base stats malzeno has 0% affinity and 330 raw. It has only a 1* rampage slot, so you usually have to qurio mod it up to fit a good dec. It has a nice 4* slot, and decently low recoil and reload. It also has a nice 5 clip size, moving shooting and reloading.

Elemental pierce is awesome, but unless you are running with as much damage skills as possible, you'll run out of ammo on most hunts. And it's so squishy because it requires the health drain skills. That being said, I can kill both crabs with Astalos LBG in under 2 minutes.Ive started dipping my toes into hbg after really enjoying my lbg build. Im usimg the barioth hbg with a pierce build. The sticky threads build has ammo up 3 and recommends looking at spare shot next. In order to fit one of those into my build though id lose 6 levels of attack boost, and 2 levels of crit eye. Is ammo up that big of a dps boost?
