Yes, I got a list of the prereqs and did them at a community college before applying. Saved a lot of money that way. For me, the tuition was around $20k a year. Chamberlain is a three year program, but I did the first year at the community college, so now I have around $40k in debt. I now work as a case manager remotely. Since then, I've had a few staff jobs, and traveled for 4 years. I work at the VA now. I was also accepted to SUNY Upstate for their in person PMHNP program (I had to decline due to my husband getting last minute PCS orders), and to an online school. Right now I'm considering applying to a MSN at the University of Colorado.
